Our teacher handed this source image, which is of a painting, as an assignment. I don’t know the artist of the source, so I can’t credit it.
This provided us a lot of stuff to work on:

- the clouds
- the stone wall of the barn facing us
- the stones and stump in the foreground

Some of the other students were working on this photo earlier, and I wanted to give it a go, since the lighting is so unusual.

The point of today’s painting was more practice with water control, in particular, having too much water and using it to define the rows between the plants.

On Wednesday, March 6th, 2019, the 2 watercolour classes and the coloured pencil class got together to celebrate Vincent van Gogh’s birthday by learning a little about him and recreating his famous painting, “Starry Night”, some of us in coloured pencil and some of us in watercolour.
